See How Your Packaging Stacks Up

Get a Fast, Practical Read on How Your Packaging Compares to Competitors.

Your packaging does not need to be perfect to sell. But it does need to communicate quickly, look credible, and give shoppers a reason to choose your product over the options around it.

The Avidity Packaging Assessment is a lightweight, AI-assisted review that compares your packaging against competitors in your category and identifies what may be helping or hurting your product at first glance.

You’ll receive a clear, formatted report with practical feedback on what’s working, what could be stronger, and where there may be opportunities to improve your packaging.

Beta Rate: $249
This assessment is currently being offered at a discounted beta rate while we continue refining the tool and reporting process. Future assessments are expected to be priced at $1,995.

This is not a full packaging redesign, brand strategy engagement, or in-depth category audit. It’s a focused assessment designed to give you a clearer sense of how your packaging is performing and what you may want to improve next.

AI-Assisted, Backed by Real Packaging Expertise

This is not a generic AI review of your packaging.

The Avidity Packaging Assessment uses a customized assessment process built around professional packaging design principles, category cues, shopper behavior, visual hierarchy, appetite appeal, purchase drivers, and competitive positioning.

Your packaging and competitor examples are reviewed through this framework to identify what is working, what may be unclear, and where there may be opportunities to improve.

The final report is AI-assisted, but reviewed and shaped by Avidity’s packaging expertise, so the feedback is practical, category-aware, and grounded in real CPG design experience.

What the Assessment Looks At

We review your packaging alongside competitor packaging and look at key factors that influence how shoppers understand and compare products, including:

  • First impression

  • Shelf clarity

  • Visual hierarchy

  • Category fit

  • Differentiation

  • Messaging clarity

  • Product appeal

  • Appetite appeal

  • Purchase drivers

  • Improvement opportunities

The goal is to help you see your packaging more objectively, especially when compared to the products your customer may be choosing between.

What You’ll Receive

After submitting your packaging and competitor examples, you’ll receive:

  • A formatted packaging assessment report in Google Docs

  • A comparison of your packaging against competitor packaging

  • Notes on what your packaging appears to be doing well

  • Notes on where your packaging may be unclear, weak, or less competitive

  • Practical recommendations for improving clarity, shelf impact, messaging, and differentiation

  • A short Loom video from well-known CPG industry creative strategist, Adam Feller, walking through a few key takeaways from the report

The report is designed to be easy to understand and useful whether you are preparing for a packaging update, trying to improve your current design, or simply looking for a more objective read on how your product shows up in the category.

While we beta test this assessment offering it is available for $249.

Because this is a beta offer, your feedback may also help us improve the assessment experience for future brands.

“The packaging assessment helped us see our brand more objectively against the category. It confirmed what was working, but also gave us clear, practical direction on where our packaging could improve, especially around product clarity, flavor communication, and shelf experience.”
